Try this exercise if you suffer from anxiety!
You can of course do it for any emotion or feeling you might be feeling. Just write a letter addressing that feeling as if you were writing to a person. You could even give your feeling a name (for example, you might call your anxiety Berta or any other name that comes to mind).
Dear Anxiety,
Thank you for the warning signs and for trying to protect me but you are hurting me by staying here. I can take care of myself. I don't need you. You might forever be a part of me but it is time to make yourself tiny again and to step out of the spotlight. You are of no use to me. I accept your presence but I am setting boundaries concerning your size and your power.
